Devour
A3 artprint.
This hand-drawn artwork, titled "Devour," is inspired by the haunting anime/manga "Tokyo Ghoul" by Sui Ishida, with the lyrics and mood of the song "Consume" by Chase Atlantic. The top half of the piece captures a moment of despair and darkness, where the ghoul’s expression convey a deep sense of inner turmoil, rsimilar to that of Kaneki's struggles in "Tokyo Ghoul." The lower half with a cityscape dominated by a towering sign reading "Consume," symbolizing societal pressures, and the endless cycle of consumption that traps individuals in a state of emptiness. The tears, black as ink, streaming from the eyes emphasize the overwhelming emotions of sorrow and the corrosion of one's identity. Spesial thanks to magaka Sui Ishida, and band Chase Atlantic for inspriring this piece.
