Monsters and parasites
“ This is a drawing series that I first started on during my Bachelor degree for my final dissertation/artefact, where parasitic architecture; a very interesting concept to research, and situated in the urban landscape of Tokyo, Japan. The aim of this was to utilize the full potential of small, odd, un-used spaces in the urban enviroment. Which then proceeded into learning about sustainability and functionality in such small spaces, and how this type of housing could be utilized both now and in the future. And these were then made as a part of a fairly large presentation, where I initially made 6 interpretive drawings that corresponded with a building that fell under the terms Pet architecture and Parasitic Architecture. And a large Physical model were made to show these type of structures in the Shibuya district, in downtown Tokyo. But after the finals were over, I was inspired to continue the series up till 10 drawings in the same style, but each with a different story that was initially made, but the viewers can interpret them as they like.”
